Mercedes-AMG has introduced the PureSpeed concept, the first model of the new Mythos series, comprised of ultra-rare vehicles.

The PureSpeed is a two-seater roadster designed for an open-air driving experience, eliminating the roof, windshield, and side windows in favor of a Formula 1-inspired roll bar.

The model’s design, which will be limited to just 250 units globally, includes rear fins inspired by the 300 SLR, winner of the 1955 Mille Miglia, and carbon fiber wheel covers that enhance aerodynamic efficiency. The gradient paint, transitioning from red at the front to graphite and black at the rear, pays homage to the 1924 Targa Florio race, where Mercedes vehicles were painted red.

While Mercedes hasn’t revealed specific power details, it’s expected that the PureSpeed will utilize the 577 hp V-8 biturbo engine from the SL63 or the 805 hp hybrid system from the SL63 S E Performance.

The PureSpeed is not just a car but a celebration of Mercedes-AMG’s history and innovation, aimed at providing a unique and memorable driving experience.
